Growing up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I developed an appreciation of photography from my father Steve who inspired me with his creativity and enjoyment of the art. It would not be for many years until the dawn of digital photography that I fully expressed myself through this medium.

I can also credit my father for introducing me to my first computer sometime in the early 80's. Whether I was learning to write code, play games or toying with various graphics applications, the computer was a powerful tool for expressing my creativity.

I bought a point and shoot digital camera before traveling to France for my friends wedding. Soon after I upgraded to a Digital SLR camera and expanded my technical skills through various classes and workshops. Later that friend and I would develop Aminus3.com as a means of sharing our photos with each other. Today, Aminus3.com hosts photos from thousands of photographers worldwide.

I find that photography and images in general allow people everywhere to communicate without the boundaries of language. Within one photo we can embody a full range of human experience. Photography has opened up a new level of perception in me. My awareness has expanded to the point that I am constantly seeing the extraordinary in ordinary things, people and places.

With my photography, I seek to convey this expanded awareness to others. It is my hope that through images, we can enhance or evolve the human experience and tune into the infinite nature of what we perceive as reality.

I am currently living in Brussels Belgium with my co-creator Leslie Horacek. We enjoy traveling and exploring the wonders of this expansive universe.
